Living in Beverly
A lot of people move to Beverly for the water, the trains, and a real downtown. Five commuter rail stops run to North Station, and Cabot Street and Rantoul Street have restaurants, shops, The Cabot theater and Montserrat College of Art. Endicott College sits on the shore at the city's east end.
Lynch Park on Ober Street is the city's favorite: more than 16 acres with two beaches, a rose garden, a splash pad and a performance shell. Dane Street Beach is a short walk from downtown. The Beverly Farmers' Market runs Monday afternoons from mid-June to early October at Veterans Memorial Park, between the depot and the post office, with live music.
Homes in Beverly
Beverly has a wide range of housing: multi-families and smaller single-families near downtown and the Cabot Street corridor, mid-century neighborhoods in North Beverly and Centerville, and larger homes on bigger lots toward Prides Crossing and Beverly Farms. Condos are concentrated downtown and near the depot. Price depends heavily on which part of the city a home is in, so the citywide median is only a starting point.
